Somatic and IFS Therapy Is For Anyone Who…
Has Done Regular Talk Therapy For Years And Still Feels Stuck
Feels Disconnected And Unable To Take Action Toward What Truly Matters To You
Experience Chronic Pain, Pervasive, Low Energy And Hard To Solve Physical Symptoms.
Seeking Support And Skills For Navigating Difficult Transitions, Relationships And Grief.
Most traditional talk therapy is focused on healing our struggles through a purely cognitive based approach. In Somatic IFS therapy, together, through our dialogue about your struggles, we will weave in a trauma-informed, gentle inner inquiry process and that allows you to come into relationship with your somatic (body felt- sense) experience.
This “deep listening” and tuning into the body with curiosity and presence opens the doors to coming into contact with ourselves in a very new way. Tuning in with our present moment body experience is a powerful door for processing old, stuck energies of incomplete survival responses that keep us stuck in hyper vigilance, fight, flight, freeze, or collapsing reactions that once were once life saving adaptations, yet may no longer be needed.
“The essence of trauma is disconnection: so the real question is, how did we get separated and how do we re-connect?”
– Gabor Mate
What Is Somatic Therapy
Somatic processing (or Somatic Therapy is a mindfulness based approach to trauma treatment that utilizes the inherent wisdom and natural impulses of our body to process, move through and liberate stuck pains, energy and patterns that become stored in our physiology after repetitive and traumatic experiences.
Not only is this a highly evidence supported treatment tool, but an essential skill for everyday “good living” and allows us to inhabit our mind, body and spirit more fully and be in more authentic and connected relationships with others.

What Is Internal Family Systems Therapy
IFS is an evidence based, powerfully transformative model of psychotherapy and body healing modality that believes that we all have a personality system which makes up multiple “parts” with each of us. Due to prior negative experiences, traumas, or early life attachment wounding, some of these “parts” of us develop extreme ways of being, and continue to feel, act and hold onto adaptive coping mechanisms and old ways of learning to protect ourselves.
We first get to work to know your parts (mental and physical) that are primarily involved in your presenting problems. Through gentle inquiry, we learn about their origin stories, where and how they show up in the body, their fears and unpack WHY they operate in the way they do. We then get to know how one part affects other parts of your internal system.
Healing is a PROCESS. The hardest part can be finding the right help and getting started.

About Kelly
It is a profound honor and joy to walk alongside so many individuals on their healing path coming back into mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. I deeply believe that with the right support, we can move beyond our survival adaptations and build our capacity to return to feelings of ease, joy, satisfaction and reconnect with a sense of radical “wholeness” and authenticity.
I believe that our greatest pains are tremendous opportunities to redefine how we move through the world, and come into a renewed relationship with ourselves, others and nature in a deeply connected way.
I look forward to working along side you in your healing journey.
“Working with Kelly has been a transformative experience. I began working with her during one of the lowest times I have ever experienced in my life, and her care, the space she holds and her skill in guiding me into deep work was exactly what I needed to begin to heal, and – even more – to grow. I have gained a deeper understanding of myself and how to listen to my parts, and have been armed with tools to help me continue the work we do outside of our sessions together with her support and collaboration. I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a collaborative and nurturing therapist to help them become more truly who they are.” – Client
